I have been in and out of the studio over the past year working on Growing Pains. I know some who are reading this blog are wondering why am I releasing an album that I already put out? For those that don’t know there was a previous release of “My Growing Pains, 20 Years Young” in 2009. During 2010 I made a decision and entered into new business ventures, new management, new vision, my own label, etc. With that being said I had a great project that was released. It only moved 300 or so units so I decided I would take the songs off of their that I loved and re-release the album. As I started working on the project I started to make a lot of changes. The plan was to just do a better mix and re-release but as we started working I was inspired. So we re-worked tracks, added new sounds and vocals. So to be honest “Growing Pains is a BRAND NEW ALBUM” For those who had the original version of “Love of my Life” you should be able to tell the difference from the version released in 09 to the one we released this year. If you couldn’t hear it musically you could hear it lyrically and that song was just a taste of whats to come. There will be re-worked songs from the original project and brand new songs. I have been playing it for some close peers and they say they can hear the growth so I pray that God is pleased when you hear this project. There is a lot of surprises and we put a lot of work into this. Stay Tuned there is more to come.
